Sixty Tomb Mosque :
Unesco-protected Bagerhat, with its treasure-trove of historical monuments, will send a shiver of excitement down the spines of archaeology buffs. Hidden among the green folds of the surrounding countryside are more ancient mosques and mausoleums than anywhere else in Bangladesh (except Dhaka ), but the crowning jewel of this fabulously little-known collection is the Shait Gumbad Mosque – a multi-domed medieval masterpiece.
Bagerhat is a district in South-western Bangladesh . It is a part of the Khulna Division. Bagerhat district has a total area of 3959.11 square kilometres. It is bounded by Gopalganj District and Narail District on the north, The Bay of Bengal on the south, Gopalganj District, Pirojpur District and Barguna District on the east and Khulna District on the west. Main rivers of the district are Panguchi, Daratana, Madhumati River , Pasur River , Haringhata, Mongla River , Baleswar, Bangra and Goshairkhali.
Bagerhat is an historical town in the Khulna Division. Khan Jahan Ali was a famous 15th century Sufi that settled here and established the town, originally known as Khalifatabad. His tomb and mosques constructed in his honor are the main reasons to visit. While none of the sites are likely to blow your socks off it's still a relatively peaceful village to walk around.

If you are traveling from Dhaka . You can travel to Khulna by bus. you can get in anytime from Gabtoli Bus Terminal or Syadabad bus terminal. Local Buses Run from khulna to Bagerhat (37 tk 1.30 hour jurney available from 6AM to 10PM ) regularly.
